Nineteen Garden Rooms, twenty-three Bay Rooms, thirteen Terrace Rooms, six Jetty Suites and three Peninsula Suites. Every room has double glazing, blackout blinds, air conditioning, a safe, a fridge and wired and wireless internet at no charge.

Rates below are the lowest published nightly rate for two adults and include breakfast in The Greenstone Room, parking, access to The Closeburn Pools and GST. Check-in is from 3pm and check-out by 10am; the front desk is staffed around the clock, so a late arrival needs no notice.

Garden Room

Nineteen rooms on the hill side of the building, looking into the beech and the car court rather than out over the water. The fit-out matches the Bay Room in every respect except the view, and the rate is about sixty dollars lower for that reason. These are the rooms to book if the plan is to be on the lake, on the hill or in Gibbston all day.

Bay Room

Twenty-three rooms facing north across Frankton Arm towards Frankton and the airport approach. Beds split to twins if the request comes in at the time of booking rather than at check-in. Second floor clears the roof of the terrace; first floor gives you the water with the awning in the lower part of the frame.

Thirteen corner rooms with a 5 m² balcony facing north-west down the lake towards Cecil Peak and Walter Peak. The balcony table takes two dinner plates and two glasses. A sofa bed sleeps a third guest without crowding the floor plan.

Jetty Suite

Six suites across the north face of the third floor. Bedroom and sitting room are separate rooms with a door between them, which is the difference guests notice when two people keep different hours. The dining table seats four. Two of the six, 302 and 308, take an interconnecting door to a Bay Room for families.

The Peninsula Suite

Three suites at the west end of the top floor, each with a 20 m² private terrace facing down Lake Wakatipu. The lift core and the plant room occupy the remainder of that floor, which is why there are three and not four. Late checkout at 2pm is written into the rate rather than offered on the day.
